   The Franklin County Community Health Education Team (CHET) works hard to assure Essential Public Health Service #3: Inform, educate and empower people about health issues.  Our team is comprised of competent public health professionals dedicated to link people to needed personal health services and information. 

CHET serves the community in the following areas:
•    Contributing weekly health articles to the local paper, State Journal
•    Hosting a monthly TV program, Working on Wellness
•    Collaborating with Community Partners to build a Community Health Assessment and Community Health Improvement Plan
•    Tobacco Use Prevention
•    Tobacco Cessation Class
•    Diabetes Prevention Program
•    Diabetes Self-Management Education
•    Diabetes Coalition and Support
•    Facilitates Franklin County MAPP (Mobilizing for Action through Planning and Partnerships)
•    Humana Vitality Assessments
•    STD/STI presentations (spell out)
•    Health Fairs
•    Longest Day of Play
•    Falls Prevention/Safe Aging
•    General health presentations
•    Members on multiple county coalitions
•    Provide Worksite Wellness Programs
