2024 Poster & Media Contest

Become a Vaccine Champion!
Entries will be accepted until: February 23, 2024

  • Illustrate the importance of routine childhood vaccines by designing a poster, brochure or short video.

  • Regional and state winners will be announced at the KHSAA Boys Basketball Tournament in March.

  • $500 Prize sponsored by the Kentucky Association of Health Care Plans (KAHP) will be awarded to one state elementary, middle and high school student.

 

CONTEST RULES

Elementary School

Kindergarten – 5th grade

 

Poster Presentation
• Describes the importance of childhood vaccines
o Why should you receive your routine vaccines?
o Where can you get vaccinations in your community?
• Poster should contain words as well as colorful pictures to promote the message

Poster Requirements 

  • Size Requirements 14″ x 22″  horizontal layout (paper version)
  • Size Requirements 640 x 480 pixels  (digital version) (created through CANVA, PowerPoint, Publisher, InDesign, etc) 
  • Cannot use trademark images/characters/logos, No political references
  • Physical posters using  3D elements cannot stand over a nickel thickness over the surface of the poster-board

Brochure Presentation
Describes the importance of childhood vaccines
• Depicts positive outcomes associated with receiving a vaccine
• Provides information on where to get vaccinations in the community
• Brochure should contain words as well as colorful pictures to promote the message

Size and additional details

  • Brochure cannot be any larger than 8.5″ x 14″ 
  • Submissions can be created digital or printed 
  • Any brochure layout allowed

    High School

    9th-12th grade

     

     

    Video Presentation
    (30 seconds maximum formatted to MP4)

    We will accept videos created through Tiktok, Adobe Spark, or other media platforms.  
    Tiktok cannot have the username displayed on the video

    The video will need to be submitted in MP4 format.

    • Short video should promote a powerful message on the importance of receiving childhood vaccinations.
    • Depicts positive outcomes associated with receiving vaccines.
          o Such as protection of self, family, friends, and teachers from diseases such as measles and polio and/or other childhood diseases
    • Lists community locations where vaccinations can be obtained.
