    • Cough
    • Runny nose
    • Red, itchy eyes
    • Fever
    • Rash (typically developing 3-5 days after other symptoms)

Contract Tracing

  • We are certain through contact tracing we have been in contact with direct contacts and provided instructions to watch for signs and symptoms through March 9th. The same applies to those who may have been exposed at the Frankfort, KY Planet Fitness location between the hours of 9am-12:15pm.
Signs and symptoms to watch out for:
    • Fever
    • Cough
    • Runny Nose
    • Red Eyes/Conjunctivitis
And most importantly the rash that occurs with Measles. This typically occurs 3-5 days after other symptoms.

Checking on Vaccine Status

We know this is a vaccine preventable disease and encourage everyone to check into their vaccine status and ensure they are current and up-to-date on all of their vaccines to ensure coverage to prevent the spread of diseases.     Kentuckians can check vaccination records at: KY Vaccine Portal

Please get in touch with your healthcare practitioner if you have any questions about your coverage or immunization status. To find out if they are immune to measles, adults who think they were vaccinated as children but lack proof of vaccination might seek an IgG. If you have previously had measles, you are also protected because you build immunity in that way.

Exposed individuals are presumed to be immune if:

  • They have documentation of 2 doses of MMR vaccine
  • They have documentation of measles immunity from IgG serology
  • They were born prior to 1957

Do we offer a Blood Titer Test?

  • As of March 6, 2025 – we request individuals reach out to their primary care provider to get a Blood Titer Test.
